Jen Sukhan is the social media engagement specialist behind Sukhan Social media — a boutique agency that helps service-based businesses build meaningful relationships on social media.
Her business has changed a lot in the last few years, but her website hasn’t. And when she did make edits to her services, etc, they felt disjointed from the rest of the site.
She came to me wanting to:
- Clarify her messaging so that it reflects her people-first values
- Make her site look professional and polished
- Get it done relatively quickly and stress-free — as a mom to a toddler, she didn’t have the time or energy to DIY.
Step 1: Rewriting the Story
First, we tackled her messaging. Through a brand interview, I listened closely to Jen’s values, learned about her services, and dug into how she does social media engagement differently. Using her input and existing content, I re-wrote her existing copy to make it concise, engaging, and full of heart.
One of the trickiest parts was presenting her services. Jen offers tailored support, but listing every possibility would have overwhelmed potential clients. I streamlined the presentation, grouping services in a way that was clear and simple.
Now, her offers are framed as highly customizable, encouraging sales calls and creating a smoother starting point for client conversations.

Step 2: Elevating the Design
Jen’s site was giving “basic Squarespace,” but her brand deserved so much more. So I used custom code to add details that made her website feel polished and unique.
Some standout touches:
- Custom cursor
- Flipped social icons
- Hover animations
- Knockout buttons
- Mobile menu icons
- Branded slider

Step 3: Optimizing the Back-End
The back-end got a full tune-up to ensure her site worked as smoothly as it looked.
This included:
- Cleaning up URLs (e.g., “confidentcommenting” ➡️ “confident-commenting”) and adding 301 redirects to ensure old links still work and her SEO stays intact.
- Writing SEO-friendly meta descriptions and title tags so she looks great in search results
- Adding alt-text to images to improve accessibility site-wide.
The Result: A Website She’s Proud Of
Jen’s website now reflects the essence of her brand: professional yet approachable, creating an easy client acquisition process for both her and her website visitors.
